David A. Milanec made it his life’s mission to pave people’s way out of poverty. Equipped with a niche for mathematics, a passion for public-service, and a hunger for a better life, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2012. While doing so, he co-founded the Liberal Organization of Religious Enthusiasts whose purpose was to celebrate different religions. He moved on to receive the award of Treasurer of the Decade, which would foreshadow a future of great achievements and merit.
David started out in another firm as an unpaid college intern and solidified his position as a tax expert in the upcoming years. In seven years at that firm, David went from being a college intern to a managing partner.
In 2022, with a need to serve more people and venture out on his own, David created Katz Milanec. He specializes in all matters of tax related issues such as offers in compromises, audits, back tax reliefs, and much more. Case by case, his clientele has grown alongside his savings for them. These businesses range from entertainment companies, cannabis dispensaries, agricultural, law enforcement, and even businesses in neighboring territories/international bodies such as Puerto Rico and Hong Kong.
In his duration as a financial specialist, David has never lost a disputed case in front of the IRS, while he has saved his clients over an accumulated $10 million dollars, his accomplishments do not end there. Each tax season, he hires batches of interns whom he personally mentors in the hopes of sharing core accounting skills. His wealth of knowledge and discipline have produced competent tax professionals who now proudly work at Top 100 Accounting firms such as RSM and Mueller and Co.
Apart from an illustrious career, David is a proud father of a large-blended family and a member of the Chicago Sinai Congregation. He has even co-founded with his spouse a not-for-profit organization, Accounting for Our Future, which recruits non-traditional accounting students and sponsors their future education of being an EA and/or CPA. His clients and family describe him as a man of great character, unbelievable passion and relentlessness, and someone who truly wants the best for them.
